hello readers.. it has been a while.. over a year since the last blogpost eek..!! funny how time flies :) lots have happened since then, and if you follow my social media you've probs heard all about it as it was happening because thats how i roll, but i still like to try and make a comprehensive update for here once and a while. this one might be a little long ?
the last post i left off in late 2024 when i was getting into a relationship irl (i am now single), and was in one of my self improvement phases. 2025 was an action packed year... its kind of too much to recount right now, but i think i grew up a bit, and mostly just want to move forward..!! theres wayy too many things i want to draw and make to waste time thinking about the past, which is why i need to make blog entries more frequently ,,, im sure there was some interesting things i could have talked about here but alas!!
that being said, i still have some updates to give!! ok- im not going to post anymore about quitting smoking unless im actually like . a few weeks into it. because i have posted about that a lot and im still smoking which is quite embarassing and probably annoying for whoevers reading these too.. but yeah just wanted to get that out of the way.
next update, my rabbits Ribbon and Tinsel finally bonded and live together without barriers now. its been a few months maybe almost a year of them sharing an enclosure and its so awesome to finally have them be friends!! they groom eachother now, which ive noticed has cleared up some minor health issues they had on and off, like a weepy eye for Tins. and well, Ribbon hasnt really had any health problems thus far!! shes 5 ish years old, fully grown, still so cute and sweet, and ever since having the buns live together she has also become more affectionate and does groom 4 groom aka u pet her a bunch n offer ur hand and she'll lick you... I dont think anyone has gotten a lick from Tinsel yet besides Ribbon. but she shows her affection in other ways,, like asking for grooming... a lot.. and of course the cats are doing well too, all 4 of them hang out and are nice to eachother. for some reason every time i refill the hay mangers the cats dart to it and start eating the hay?! cabbits!? so yea thats the animal update!
something ive gotten big into lately is birdwatching, man I love birds so much!!! Just a month ago i made the descision to upgrade my phone and get an iphone 17pro! mainly for camera reasons!! before that I was taking bird pics on my iphone XR, I discovered that i could take photos through the lense of my binoculars and they actually looked better than with just the naked camera! but it was so hard to keep steady and lowkey cramped and hurt my hands. One of my friends was on a trip in Japan and i asked for bird pics, when i saw the quality of the photos i was amazed, and asked what kind of phone he used xD!! I havent tried the bino method with this new phone yet but Itd probably be trickier given the 3 camera thing. I'm still considering getting a zooming attatchment thing for my phone but it works fine for my needs as is right now ^^ also I got it in Orange.
butttt yeahhh I have been enjoying looking at birsd lots lately, thinking about birds. its really nice to just spend time outside and focus on something thats not yourself, even on a day where its hard to get anything productive done i'd say spending time birdwatching is still Doing something, which is so easy and accessible !! I dont even really seek out cool birds or have a checklist, the local birds and regular guys who visit my yard are my favourites, i really hope I can befriend them eventually!! theres three huge trees in our backyard thats basically just Bird apartments.. got a woodpecker who hangs around, lots of chickadees and sparrows, nuthatches, robins, and the occasional wren or bluejay. the grackles like to hang out in the bushes on the side of our house and are very flighty. enough on birds for now.
I cant believe I havent made an update about this here but besides getting the cats in the last year or so, we also ended up having to, shortly after, put down our dog Angelo, which some of you probably know about. he was an orangey brown staffy. I think he lived to be 10? I'm still not sure exactly what was wrong but he went downhill pretty fast in the span of a few days. He was a very good boy and I'll try to insert a few pics of him here later. We have a new dog now named Henny, or , Henson, but you can call him whatever. hes the same kinda breed but white with grey spots. also a very sweet boy, it took him a bit to warm up to me and he's still skittish around new people but hes not aggressive, just nervous. He's actually a lot chiller than Jello was, considering the fact that Angelo was on fluoxetine daily so he could be normal lol... he used to bark at everythinggg and would have to be sedated to get his nails cut, oh jello..! My other dog Sunny, the little white maltese, is still doing great!! he lives with my dad and his family, who take the best care of him, which I am so greatful for. of course I wish i could see him everyday again :( I love all my animals so mush... all animals....
oh man its getting long, I dont think ive said anything about it here either yet, but I got a second job at my local cafe as a barista!! having two jobs has been pretty fun, honestly i've always wanted to be a barista so im pretty dang content with my life right now. just working a bunch and saving as much as i can, and drawing in my spare time ^^ I taught myself how to do basic crochet which is super fun, that was one of my newyears resolutions. I also made a few plushies this year too.
ok.... I think I got all the important updates down now.. thats a lot of writing for a guy like me... lowkey feeling sleepy but im at work right now hahah it just turned

My best friend who I went to school with visited me this past weekend for the first time since I moved provinces and it was awesome, we've known eachotehr for over 13 years now which is incredible to me! I'm very glad we still talk and are close and stuff. I have lots of organizing and tidying up to do now as well as my calendar for this month to fill out and all kinds of crafts to plan, just so much to do :3
anyways.... why is it so hard to end a post.. I'm glad to have my website back up and running, with my new domain, and i linked my other domain which is my bsky handle to the blog part(this one) but it seems to be having connection issues right now. for some reason every time i edit This site it flips out and takes a while to go back to normal so its probably normal. you can probably tell im getting tired of writing now.
